There are people he meets, and events that occur, which are the reflections of the human life itself.
From a birth till the old age, he experiences this life in the lift together with the other characters.
Due to it, he reinterprets the choice, probably understanding that the end can be the beginning.
Life and death, the beginning and the end, the first and the last floor, life is just like the lift – you never know what the next floor will bring …
